Bonnie and Dan at Totem Terrace

Bonnie and Dan said their "I Do's" yesterday at Totem Terrace, and there was no shortage of smiles anywhere. This is the first of three weddings that the groom's family will be having this year, and you could feel the love in the air everywhere... Thanks Bonnie and Dan for an amazing day--I hope you are enjoying your honeymoon~!

Bonnie added splashes of color in a fun vintage style, by placing gerber daisies in mason jars, and floating them in the family's antique sterling silver punch bowl (which makes an appearance at every family wedding!) Dan got all his groomsmen coordinating striped socks, and Bonnie bought comfy purple flipflops for all her attendants. In lieu of a guest book, friends were asked to select a post card, write a sentiment, and place it in a vintage suitcase. LOVE THIS!!

Thanks so much to Dan and Bonnie's friends and family for being so amazing to work with, and thanks to Bev for working so hard to keep everything running so smoothly. I firmly believe that every bride deserves to have a wedding coordinator! Thanks Pastor Dave for the most entertaining wedding ceremony ever, and thanks to the creative and talented Brenda for helping everyone get their cuddle quota met for the day, ha! I feel so blessed to have worked with all of you. xoxo

Aww... check this out. My sweet friend Jolene and her hubby are expecting their first baby--due to arrive sometime around their second wedding anniversary! Jolene has the prettiest glow about her, and if possible, I think she looks even prettier than on her wedding day. If it's a girl, she will be baby Brooklyn Love, and if a boy, there is talk of naming him... McLovin! Nice one Brent--I bet Jolene's Mom joins me in saying "Hope it's a girl!!" Hannah - Portrait Session on Galbraith Mountain

Beautiful Hannah hiked up Galbraith Mountain with me, donned her high heels, and posed for this stunning portrait session (amidst an entourage of bikers, hikers and curious tailwaggers). Many of these popular trails are now being heavily logged, and so I guess you can say this was my own special way of paying tribute to Gaibraith. Breathtaking scenery, plus gorgeous model equals one of my favorite photos shoots of all time.

Alyson's Bridal Shoot

You've probably seen this gorgeous young bride splashed all over my website...

In case you were wondering, here's the backstory behind this awesome shoot! It all started when I was driving to the doctor's office one day, and was ogling all the pretty golden beach grass that lines Cordata Parkway. I thought to myself "hmmmm..... this might be an awesome place for a photo shoot!" A few days later when Steve brought me home a vintage chaise lounge, I knew what I had to do. Alyson graciously agreed to model for me with her wedding dress, as long as I didn't publish the photos until after her wedding. I eagerly agreed, and went to work finishing the chaise... and a few weeks later when Alyson had her "trial run" hair appointment, we went to work. These are just some of the photos I got of Alyson that day, and I wouldn't mind doing a few more of these shoots with her because she is an awesome model--gorgeous AND so much fun to work with. There was plenty of laughter that afternoon, and plenty of gorgous pictures. And a sentimental post script to this story... the veil was very same one worn by Alyson's mom years earlier. Love that part most of all...

The first day of Spring, a sky full of blue and two amazingly sweet people very much in love. All in all, the days don't get much better than this! Here's a little sneak peek from my morning with Rebecca and Scott, and I think it's safe to say that romance is alive and well in the city of Bellingham today...

It seemed only fitting to top off the morning with a stop at the Firehouse Cafe, also known as the place where Scott and Rebecca first met. Thank you Scott and Rebecca for a great morning and for the awesome hot chocolate--stay tuned for more photos! Thanks also to the Firehouse staff for letting us take pictures, and to the sweet customer who stoked up the fireplace for us.

Awwww... my baby sister is turning 30 today! Hard to believe she is all grown up now, and a happily married Mom herself. And since our Mom had her girls only six days apart (thirteen years and six days if you want to get technical about it), that can only mean that this old gal's birthday is coming up too, yikes! (I'll let you all do your own math since I am in major denial about that number...) Anyhow, I thought I'd share a couple of pics of the most awesome sister in the world!! Check out this smoking hot session with Kamron! He is a local dance instructor who tried his very best to teach my two left feet some smooth dance steps in time for my own wedding. And he did a pretty awesome job, as evidenced by the fact that I only stepped on my husbands toes once during our first dance, heh heh...

This is the first of two sessions I've planned with Kamron. The next one will be with his gorgeous girlfriend and dance partner Tara, and we're gonna be kicking it old school!! I can hardly wait!

Giving Thanks and Starting Fresh

As we are heading into a brand new year, I wanted to take a moment to say a special thank you to all the amazing brides and grooms who worked with me this year. It was the best of years, and also at times the worst of years, but I have high hopes for whatever lies ahead.

I made an appointment to see a local E.N.T., who was incredibly kind and assuring, and told me that it was one of two things--an infection/inflammation in my brain, or else a brain tumor. Gulp. He started me on a regime of medication to reduce the inflammation in my brain, with the game plan being to do a brain scan if there was no improvement. And so as Autumn came to an end, I was enduring a healthy dose of prednisone that made me so unbearably sick. My husband and I headed into the holiday season with trepidation, and decided to keep the situation to ourselves, because we didn't want to worry our family. We hid our fears behind silly jokes about my prednisone induced weight gain, and neither of us talked about the worse case scenario--what if our first holiday together was to become our last... It was too unbearable to think about.

Throughout my treatment period, the prednisone made me so very sick that I could hardly function. I was gaining so much water weight that my joints ached like crazy. I felt like I was spinning all the time, I couldn't seem to fall asleep, and I was jittery and unbearably anxious. I'd never experienced anything that made me feel this way, and it was so overwhelming.

After what felt like a lifetime of misery and discomfort, I finally went to the imaging center, had the test, and then waited for the phone call that would potentially change my life. And then a few days before Christmas, my doctor called with best news--there was no tumor in my brain. A untreated sinus infection from earlier in the year had spread, and permanently damaged the part of my brain that controls smell. The symptoms would be permanent, but it wasn't fatal. I was elated. I immediately sent my husband a text that said "it's nodda tumah".

If I could turn back the hands of time, I would tell myself to NEVER ignore the symptoms of a sinus infection again. I remember exactly when I had it, and how afwul I felt, but I just figured it would clear up by itself. And I assumed that it had. I was completely wrong about that, and after talking to a few health professionals, I am really lucky that my sense of smell was the only thing affected.

And so I will wrap up this story simply by saying a deep and heartfelt thank you to my fourth quarter brides for being so patient with me while my life was in complete turmoil. I loved working with each and every one of you, and I hope you loved your photos as much as I loved being there to take them.

And to all... wishing you a truly blessed 2011. I hope you all find great joy in the year the lies ahead.

A Time to Learn

Yay! Spring seems to have finally sprung, and I am so excited for all the amazing brides that I will be working with this year. Until then, I have enrolled in some really fantastic classes and workshops and will be basking in a whole lot of education during these Winter and Spring quarters. Thanks to everyone who has volunteered to model for my homework assignments--I will be sharing some of our sessions soon!

Giving Thanks for the New Year

As we are heading into a brand new year, I wanted to take a moment to say a special thank you to all the amazing brides and grooms who worked with me this year. It was a year full of blessings and challenges, and I am so very excited for what lies ahead.

And so I will wrap up this story simply by saying that no matter how busy your life gets, don't forget to take the time to nurture yourselves. (Remember that old saying about an ounce of prevention!) To my husband, thank you for helping me see that the hardest lessons in life are sometimes the most important ones. You are truly my rock.

Shannon and Logan are getting married down South this Fall. They wanted to come back to where it all began for their engagement photos, however, and I am so glad they did! This sweet couple patiently side-stepped around the construction at Boulevard Park, and even let themselves be dragged down to my favorite orange wall in Fairhaven... :)

The two of them share a really sweet connection, and I know their wedding, and their lives together, are going to be simply beautiful.

Jessica and Cameron: Love and Honor

I first met Jessica at a local Starbucks, and I think we probably spent a good hour just sitting there talking about weddings and shopping. Jessica is one of those amazing women who can walk into a thrift shoppe and find the most beautiful piece of vintage clothing, and then turn it into a fantastic outfit. If I had one tenth of her ability, I would consider myself sooo lucky! An old soul for certain--she has such a rare and timeless quality about her, and her amazing sense of style really radiated about her on her wedding day.

I didn't get to meet Cameron until their wedding day, because he is a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, and was not able to take leave until the week of their wedding. I had heard so much about him from Jessica, however, that I was anxious to meet this remarkable young man. It was so important to her that Cameron and his fellow Marines be treated with respect on her wedding day, and her highest priority was to capture the beauty of their dedication and sacrifice. When she first spoke about her fiance and his chosen path, she must have used the word "respect" about a million times. And after an hour with Jessica, I respected Cameron without ever having even met him.

Last Saturday, Jessica and Cameron held their perfect wedding day at the Bellingham Golf and Country Club. I have been anxiously awaiting this event, and it did not disappoint. She looked like she just stepped out of a Sophia Lauren movie, and he looked crisp (and yet delightfully giddy) in his dress blues. ~Swoon~

Jessica and Cameron, I can't begin to tell you how lucky I feel to have spent the entire day with your friends and family. Everyone made us feel so welcome and we both felt like we were watching a fairytale unfold right before our eyes. I can't wait to see what the future holds for both of you, but I know it will be amazing. Enjoy the white sands of North Carolina, and enjoy being "Mr. and Mrs". (Or is it Officer and Mrs?)

Linda and Gene

This Halloween, Gene and Linda decided to take their fifteen year relationship to the next level. They took vows in front of a small group of friends and family, and they did it in their own wildly unique way. There would be no champagne toast for them--it was shots of Patron for all! Linda with her Swiss shotglass and Gene sporting his AC/DC. Yeah baby!! Needless to say, a LOT of people wanted to make toasts, heh heh...

The menu included gourmet cheesecake and brisket, and guests got to choose from a myriad of delicious toppings for both!

Their friends were delightfully playful, and I had a great time snapping photos of everyone hamming it up. The best part of the evening though, was seeing the smile on both their faces at having finally married their best friend and soul mate. Here's to you Gene and Linda... Salud! xoxo

Engagement | Haley and Josh at Washington Park

I have to admit that before Josh and Haley's engagement shoot, I had never even heard of Washington Park in Anacortes! It didn't look like much on the county parks and rec website, but oh boy was I ever blown away when we arrived!! Sooooooo gorgeous, and the most stunning views all around. And when you add a super cute and playful couple to the mix, it's a sure recipe for a great photo shoot. Enjoy... :)

Mark and Tiffany's Majestic Wedding

It was a clear and crisp October night as Tiffany and Mark took their vows in the twinkling courtyard of the romantic Majestic Hotel in Anacortes. I don't think anybody noticed the cool Autumn temperatures, as we were all so enthralled by the beauty of our surroundings and the sheer magic of the night.

The Majestic couldn't be more aptly named, and is utterly breathtaking from the top of their stained glass ceiling, to the bottom of their Scarlett O'hara-like staircase. Tiffany looked positively luminous in her Maggie Sottero wedding gown, and Mark's friends all reiterated to me that they'd never seen him look so happy before. Their family and friends were the most gorgeous and hilarious group, and I don't think we ever laughed so much at a wedding before. The sexy soulful sounds of The Kellee Bradley Band reverberated through the night, and made huge fans of all of us (especially me). And I think it's safe to say that when your friends are from Q13 Fox News, you will probably have a pretty stunning wedding party, and some seriously butt kicking video equipment! I must confess that I had some major league video camera envy, even if it wasn't Nikon...

Tiffany and Mark incorporated some beautiful and meaningful touches into their ceremony, including a rose exchange, and a candle lighting to honor loved ones who could only be there in spirit. All in all, one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever seen, and I was so very honored to be there. Mark and Tiffany, we couldn't be happier for you, and I know your lives together are going to be so very blessed.

Special thanks to the amazing staff at The Majestic Inn for providing such an amazing space and great service. Thanks Kellee and band for doing what you do so very well, and most of all, a heartfelt thanks to Tiffany, Mark and all their amazing friends and family, for a truly rare and wondrous night.

I spent an awesome afternoon out at Hovander Park with Justine, Jeff and their amazing dog "Trigger". It's impossible not to have fun with Jeff and Justine, as they both have such free spirits and a great sense of humor. I loved the fact that I never knew what they were going to do next, especially Justine, who has a great eye for photography! I'm sad to say that they are getting married in Florida and not Bellingham, but I know that their wedding will be beautiful and definitely a lot of fun.

Autumn and Michael: Semiahmoo Resort

Autumn's Mother was putting her final beautiful touches on the Pierside Room at the Semiahmoo Resort, and it was getting closer to ceremony time. She looked at me and said "I don't care if we have to start late--my daughter is going to have the perfect wedding". In my experience, there are few things in life that compare with a Mother's love, and this was definitely a shining example! Autumn, being perhaps the most laid back bride EVER, simply shrugged her shoulders and said "okay"... Easy breezy. And it was, of course... absolutely... positively... the most perfect wedding, with the most perfectly lovely bride.

Autumn was simply stunning in her Maggie Sottero gown and vintage blusher veil. And judging by the look on Michael's face when he first saw her, I'd say he was pretty pleased to see his gorgeous bride walking up the aisle towards him.

Autumn's Mother put together the stunning and fragrant floral bouquets, as well as all the tabletop decorations. The Pierside room was rich and elegant with warm lanterns, pink roses, and the rich mahogany chairs were the perfect compliment to Autumn's pink and brown color palette. And it all began, of course, with her breathtakingly lovely pink engagement ring.

Autumn and her amazingly talented and LOVELY mother!! Not hard to see where Autumn comes by her beauty--not to mention her creativity.

This AMAZING cake was created by Xtra Special Cakes, in Mount Vernon, Washington. They received the 2010 "Best Of" status from The Knot, and it's not hard to see why! This elegant wedding cake was covered in soft pink dogwood, and looked like something right out of a magazine. WOW!!

Special thanks to Wendy LeBlanc and the staff at the Semiahmoo Resort for letting us have an impromptu photo shoot in the Shooters Lounge! And thanks to the nice folks who bought our lovely couple a bottle of champagne to help them celebrate!! A very cool reminder of how lucky we are to live in such a warm and friendly community--and these two are definitely deserving.

Autumn and Michael... you are the sweetest high school sweethearts, and I thank you for letting us come share in your amazing wedding day. It wasn't just the gorgeous location or the incredible details--it was simply being there with you and your truly remarkable family and friends. HUGS!

Emily and Justin - When Fairytales Come True

First let me apologize for what a long blog post this is going to be. Typically when I blog about a wedding, I choose my top 10 or 15 photos to share. When it came to Emily's wedding, however, I couldn't seem to scale it down past my top 40 or so! So it's going to be long, but it's going to be worth the space--I promise you!

In my life as a photographer, I have seen a lot of brides come up with creative ideas, and Emily is definitely leading the pack. She wanted her dream wedding, and I hope she feels like she achieved it, because it was absolutely breathtaking! And the ideas that she and her family incorporated into the wedding were amazing, creative, and so very thoughtful. In as much as a wedding is supposed to be "all about the bride", Emily and her family wanted to make it all about their guests too. They spent an entire year collecting vintage china teacups to use as favors, which in itself is pretty amazing and beautiful. It doesn't just stop there, however... they actually chose each cup based on the personality of the recipient, and included a beautifully written verse along with their place setting--again, all about the guests.

And how about this beautiful idea--a wishing tree! A beautiful array of branches, adorned with crystals and wishes of love and support written out by each guest. So amazing, and I can just imagine that it will find a place in Emily and Justin's home somewhere for years to come, or perhaps in the bedroom of their future children. It had a magical quality to it that any little girl would surely love and treasure. :)

And I think you will agree that the magical touches didn't end there... Emily and Justin and their families shared a beautiful amazing day, and I hope their future holds the same beauty and love that we all witnessed on their wedding day. Congratulations Emily and Justin!!

Becoming One at the Bellwether

After months of patiently waiting, Alyson and Terence finally got to celebrate their big day at the beautiful Hotel Bellwether in sunny Bellingham. The groom was all smiles, and the bride was simply stunning (which came as no surprise to any of us...) It was an amazing day, and I have to admit that I shed a few happy tears during their vows. This beautiful event was coordinated by the amazing Brittany at BB Jean Events, and not a detail was spared!

Addie and Peter's Grand Wedding at the Grand Willow Inn

It seems like only yesterday that I met Addie and her family at the 2010 Wedding Expo in Bellingham, and now here I am blogging about their amazing wedding this past weekend. There are so many lovely things to share about this event, I don't even know where to begin. To start with, the bride was simply LUMINOUS!! The sight of Addie in her wedding gown reminded me of that old romantic movie "Somewhere in Time". She looked like she had just stepped out of a page in time, and it suited her so perfectly. And it's safe to say that Peter was smitten by his beautiful bride, as he couldn't take his eyes off her the entire evening.

Addie and Peter's friends and families travelled from far and wide, and together they created a warm and fun environment that was enjoyed by everyone. (Especially their photographers!) Addie's Grandmother was not able to attend, but she was definitely on everyone's minds throughout the evening. Addie's right hand was adorned with her Grandmother's wedding ring, and the first thing they did after their ceremony was to phone her. To Addie, Peter, and all their loved ones, I hope you all enjoyed your evening as much as we did.

The venue was the stunning Grand Willow Inn located in Mount Vernon, Washington. Connie and her staff meticulously coordinated every square inch of their facility to Addie and Peter's wedding colors, and they spared no detail. The Grand Willow Inn is currently nominated for the King 5 "Best of 2010" competition, and I can certainly see why! If you are reading this blog, I hope you will join me in voting on their behalf. Their staff is outstanding, their venue is breathtaking, and their DJ Martin Iverson was the funniest, most thorough and entertaining master of ceremonies we have ever witnessed. Flowers were provided by the amazing women at Alice Joy Events, and they were among the most beautiful and well designed arrangements that I have ever had the privilege to photograph. :)

Oh SWOON! I heart Nate and Kristi soooo much--I wish they would get married every day! We drove all the way to San Francisco to take their engagement photos, and after getting to know them, I knew their wedding would be a blast. Gorgeous couple, fantastic family, great friends, stunning location--this day pretty much had it all. Oh... and did I mention there was blueberry pie? Indeed. A perfect day... :)

And yes, that's right, I set up a blueberry pie ring shot--YUM!

Mark and Tiffany - A Slice of Love

They first met on a blind date. Mark was running a bit late, and so they didn't even get to talk at all before they walked into the movie theater. But to quote Tiffany, when he got there, he looked so good that she forgot that she'd been kept waiting. The movie was bad, but they made their way to "Serious Pie" in Seattle, and any real foodie knows that the perfect slice of pie can be the perfect backdrop for true romance... I didn't think to ask them what kind of pie they had, but I'd like to think it was something as sweet as the two of them are together.

Their second date was bowling. He bragged that he had his own ball, and she neglected to mention that her Dad had taught her to bowl when she was five. She went two for three, and he still wonders if she threw the last game. I didn't ask, and something tells me that she wouldn't have told me anyhow...

Their wedding is just around the corner, and will be a mix of rich Fall colors, (she loves purple), fantastic food (he is a chef by trade), and music by the amazingly gifted Kellee Bradley. It's going to be a rare and wonderful night, and I am so stoked that I get to be there to witness and photograph it all. Congratulations Mark and Tiffany--you both deserve so much happiness! Surrounded by an amazingly fun group of friends and family (go team Alaska!!!), it was a beautiful day that they will surely cherish forever. I was so honored to be part of this event, and to get to know their incredible families.

The beautiful and delectable buffet was prepared by the Big Fat Fish Company, and this lovely cake creation is by "Let Them Eat Cake". What do you do when both of your children decide to get married, and they both live out of state? Well, you do the sensible thing of course--get them both home, and have two weddings in the same week! And that is exactly what Helen and Henry decided to do, when both their children fell in love and decided to take the plunge. And it is in the midst of this wild and wonderful wedding wingding, that I got to spend not one, but two amazing and completely unique days last week.

Western Washington University was the beautiful backdrop for this fun engagement session. This awesome photo shoot was supposed to take place this past Spring, when duty called and we had to postpone. But ah... it was soooo worth the wait!

And folks, don't let the baby face fool you--this groom serves his country with honor, and he really is such a gentleman in the way he takes care of his lovely bride. It was a beautiful summer day at Hovander Park with Addie and Peter, and about a million mosquitos! Poor Addie was covered in bites by the time we wrapped, and I will definitely be bringing some mosquito repellant and calamine lotion to their wedding... :)

Boda Bonita | Jenni & Trey's Latin American Backyard Extravaganza!

Jenni and Trey threw a gorgeous Latin American themed wedding, in their beautiful Gig Harbor back yard. Jenni's attention to every detail was prominent throughout the event, and the end result was a backyard paradise that was beaming with color, twinkling lights, and a whole lot of love!

Jenni and Trey wanted to make sure their guests were entertained throughout the evening, and provided such fun activities as trivia cards, a dance revolution competition, and a photo station with costumes~!

Tables were named after vacation destinations that had been previously enjoyed by the bride and groom. In lieu of the traditional placecard, Jenni made personalized photo cards of their vacations. LOVE THIS IDEA!!!

Jenni and Trey said "no way" to a traditional wedding cake, and instead guests enjoyed an incredible wedding flan, courtesy of the amazing staff at Serenitae Catering. This came after a mouth watering and hearty meal of the most beautifully seasoned braised pork I have ever tasted (slow roasted for twelve hours, chef Teresa Potter told me), and was accompanied by a fabulous Latin American buffet and a whole lot of happy tummies! And as if this wasn't enough, it was all followed by an insanely fabulous dessert service that included heapingly huge helpings of hot blueberry and apple cobber and gorgeous lemon meringue pie. NOBODY left this event hungry, and if Teresa and Serenitae weren't located in Tacoma, I would have her come cook for me just for the sheer delicious heck of it! DROOL!~

And check out this awesome idea!!! Unity Candle? Nope! Try a Unity Cocktail instead, and a super cute toast by the bride and groom themselves. The cocktail was a special blend of spirits that matched their own personalities. For Jenni, a smooth Tequila with "a special flavor, a little bit of bite, and a wicked hangover if you don't know how to pair it right". And for Trey, Kahlua "not overpowering or dominant (because Tequila takes care of that), but a sweet balanced liquor that pairs well with others"... The result was a union that was strong, sweet, likeable and very well balanced. OH SWOON~!

It seems the guests enjoyed this toast as much as I did... :)

Will + Jillian | Summertime Wedding Fun!

Jillian's pretty summer palette and her breathtakingly gorgeous venue, Nature's Connection Place, set the backdrop for her wedding to Will. The theme was clear-- FUN!

Table tops were set with an environmentally friendly blend of grass, rocks, and dishware from home. All of it incorporating Jillian's fresh summer green color scheme, and I am simply loving this DIY all natural centerpiece! Fabulous!

Each of Jillian's bridesmaids received one of these awesomely cute purses (each with a hint of green), that contained a "wedding day emergency kit". Complete with a sewing kit, bandaids, tissue, stain remover pens and other nuptial must-haves, Jillian made sure that all her girls were prepared for anything!! Sweet!

Will and Jillian took their vows in front of a gorgeous pond, complete with waterfall and even a few local geese as onlookers. It was a simply breathtaking ceremony, complete with laughter and the hottest "first kiss" I have ever seen...

Jillian is well known for her amazing cake making abilities, and so nobody was surprised that she made all her own wedding cupcakes. Honestly, I think they would have been disappointed if she hadn't--she has a true talent, and makes one killer carrot cake! Yum!

All in all, a beautiful day shared with an incredibly happy couple, and their free spirited and fun families. So grateful that we were able to be a part of this incredible joy filled day!

The Non-Bride's Guide to the Backyard Wedding

When Camille first contacted me about photographing her wedding, she referred to herself as a "non-bride". I was completely intrigued, and couldn't wait to see kind of unique touches she would bring to her big day! And when she and Jon took their vows yesterday, we were all treated to a celebration that reflected their love for each other, their love of family, and their playful personalities!

Step One: Find a fabulous dress! They say there is a dress for every bride, and never was this more true than with Camille. Her 1940's style sheath was simple and elegant, but had a sense of vintage glamour that included the most fabulous detachable train I have ever seen. Gorgeous!!

Step Two: Location, location, location! Camille's parents yard was the perfect place to say "I Do", and her dad's windmill stood proudly over the entire event.

Step Three: Pay tribute. Camille wanted to keep her Grandmother's spirit with her on her big day, and did so in a beautiful and unique way. The beautiful buckle on Camille's dress actually came from the very gown that her Grandmother was married in, back in the 1930's. It was the perfect adornment to her vintage style wedding gown, and an inspiring idea.

Step Four: Guestbook by... Dr Suess? Yep! How completely awesome, and so reflective of the unique journey that surely lies ahead for Camille and Jon.

Step Five: A Pinch of Salt. Reception Tables were adorned with Camille's Mom's colorful collection of state plates and an incredible collection of vintage salt and pepper shakers that would have made Martha Stewart go weak in the knees!

Step Six: Honor thy Mother and Father: Oh swoon, check out this beautiful touch--Camille's bouquet was awash with soft pink, but for a single yellow rose, plucked from the rosebush that her parents planted on the day she was born.

Step Seven: Dance the Night Away! Jon and Camille had their first dance as man and wife, under a deep blue sky, surrounded by their friends and natural beauty as far as the eye could see. Of course all that anyone noticed was the smiles on both their faces.

Step Eight: Live Happily Ever After...

All in all, a beautiful day spent with a really beautiful family. Thanks Jon and Camille for letting be part of your wedding, and thanks to the "cake fairy" who left the plate of goodies on my camera bag! Congratulations!!

Crystal and Alex at the Bellingham Golf and Country Club

The beautiful Bellingham Golf and Country Club was the sweet spot where Crystal and Alex said "I do" this weekend. Crystal and her bridal party looked amazing in their gorgeous deep red gowns, and her adorably sweet flower girl was decked out in a stunning gown that her family brought all the way from Mexico!

They say that marriage is a lot like golf, in that you can't take it too seriously or it won't work! That was definitely the case with this wedding party, and I don't think I have ever met a more easy going bunch. Crystal and Alex were sweet, silly and smiley, and their great sense of humor was shared by friends and family alike.

The staff at BGCC was great, and they made the wedding party feel like golf royalty, by chauffering them away from the ceremony in their own personal golf carts!

Crystal put some fantastic personal touches in her wedding, including "his and hers" beta fish (in separate bowls, of course), engraved crystal champagne glasses, a monogrammed bouquet, and the cake topper was a special piece from her own collection of... you guessed it... crystal!

Crystal and Alex's first dance was beautiful, as was Crystal's dance with her sweet son Ty. It was their first dances with their parents, however, that completely brought me to tears. What a beautiful thing to see two such close knit families joining together. I know the future holds good things for them all.

To Crystal and Alex and your entire families, thanks so much for letting us share in your beautiful wedding. I hope you are having the time of your life on your honeymoon!
